A £35m repair bill could lead to the complete transfer of a council’s housing stock.
Tenants across North East Lincolnshire are being consulted over options for the future of the service.
These include private finance as well as the transfer of property to a housing association.
Setting up an at arms-length management company with private investment is not currently possible as the council does not have a three-star rating for its housing service.
Public consultation will take place over the next few weeks.
